“Ghazal uth jao subah ho gayi hai, school ka time ho gaya, the cooker whistles, knock at the door, bahu chai mileage kya? mera nastha ready hai? I have a meeting sharp at 9 am, please drop Ghazal till the bus stand I am getting late for the office…Blah Blah Blah”. This is the scene of an early morning of every house across India, and all these works and responsibilities are single-handedly being taken care of by the Woman of House, who is a wife, a daughter-in-law, and a mother too.
Motherhood itself is a winning and a dotting journey for the lifetime, a mother is a person who works day and night on the toes to make sure that everyone is happy, everyone is having their space, etc, the list is endless, the jobs are endless, but at the end of the day never being appreciated, and address with these lines “tum Ghar par Sara din karti kya ho?”. A work of a homemaker is the toughest and the most thankless job on this earth because they are never paid back. So if a mother or a homemaker is not earning anything it doesn’t mean that they are not working its vice versa they are doing everything in such a silent way that the whole system of the family is running in such a smooth and systematic manner.
Below are a few pointers to remember. Let’s take a reality check before pointing out other things.
- A mother is the cook of the house- a salary to be paid to a cook is a minimum of Rs. 10,000/-
- A mother is a caretaker for the old parents in the house- salary of a caretaker minimum of Rs. 15,000/-.
- A mother is responsible for her child’s education- salary of a private tuition teacher minimum of Rs. 7,000/-.
- A mother is a person who maintains and secures the house- a salary of minimum caretaker and maintenance of the whole house minimum of Rs.20,000/-.
- All the other miscellaneous works she does, maybe against a salary of Rs. 30,000/-.
And like the above few pointers, this is an endless list, and if we calculate the above-mentioned amount that is at least the minimum salary which a mother/ or a working woman earns.
A home is not just made of bricks, cement, and sand, a woman makes that house for each one of us to live in it with all the comforts. “Ek Ghar toh sirf balu miti ka bana hota hai, ek aurat hi us ghar mein rehne layak banati hai, Ghar who hai Jaha Maa hai, biwi hai”, and we call it “Home Sweet Home” – because of their presence.
So let’s salute to all the working mothers. “MAA TUJHE SALAM”…!! Last but not least, a full form of a MOTHER – Makes Our Trip of Life Happier Easy and Relaxing !
