The latest research study by Rajani Srinivasan has proved that Okra and other slimy green vegetables help in removing microplastics from water. Microplastics are tiny particles present in water as tine as five millimeters which harms marine life in many ways. This is one of the newest benefits added to okra as a contribution towards mother nature.
Apart from this, it is a green vegetable that is available during summers for human life with multiple health benefits which are as follows –
Okra is a rich source of vitamin A and C and antioxidants, which lessen the chances of serious health issues like cancer, diabetes, and heart diseases. Okra is very moderate towards the fats as well.
It is a vital source of magnesium, folate, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, and vitamin B6. Okra may not be the main dish altogether but it can be easily added to your daily diet. Pan fry it, deep fry it, stuff it with the different ingredients with gram flour, and make a delicious stuffed Okra dish from it.
