National Spinach Day is celebrated every year on 26th March, and on this day, let’s explore the goodness of this green wonder – Spinach, one of the healthiest vegetable. In its raw form it is considered as a superfood because it is packed with nutrients, very low in carbs but high in soluble fiber. This green leafy vegetable is enriched with iron, Vitamin A, C, K, calcium, magnesium, folic acid, protein, cancer preventive antioxidants, omega3 fat etc. This annual plant was originally introduced to India and ancient China as Persian Vegetable during 647AD which shows that people are consuming spinach since very early age.
