Fintech Guru of today’s Generation !
Ashneer Grover is known as the Fintech Guru of today’s generation. On 14th June in 1982, Ashneer Grover was born in New Delhi, India. He completed his graduation from IIT Delhi and post-graduation from the Indian Institute of Ahmedabad. During his graduation he also went to INSA Lyon- Institut National Des Sciences Appliquees de Lyon France on a student exchange program conducted by IIT Delhi, out of 450 batch member. Ashneer and 5 more students from the batch of 2002-2003 were selected as part of this program. He was also given a scholarship of Rs.5 Lakhs from French Embassy during this exchange program. After completing his studies, he worked at Kotak Investment Bank for 7 years, post that he also worked with companies like American Express, PC Jeweller Ltd and Grofers (now Blinkit). Today, Ashneer Grover’s net worth is around Rs. 21,300 crores.
Foundation of BharatPe !
On 20th March 2018, he started his own fin0tech company named BharatPe, since then he is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of BharatPe, which is an app that helps the small Kirana stores owners in India to accept payment online through QR codes for UPI payments. Currently, this app has 1 crore plus downloads on the play store. They also have extended support for small stores in India like Bharat Swipe (POS machine) for card acceptance and also provide small business loans to the businessmen for their enhancement in their businesses. Their target audience is the small business stores of India.
Ashneer as one of the Sharks in Shark Tank India 2022 !
Recently, he also featured as one of the strongest Sharks in the reality show Shark Tank India. In the show, he has invested around in 21 deals of Rs. 5.388 cores worth. The very first steal deal of the Shark Tank India was done by him and Vineeta Singh (CEO, SUGAR Cosmetics) in the first episode by investing Rs. 40 Lakhs in the company Booz Scooters and taking 50% of the equity in the company. Another deal made by him was in the brand OTUA, an electric Auto Vehicle, in which he gave just Rs.1 Lakh and took 1% equity in the company and the rest 99 Lakhs he gave as debt on a 12% rate of interest. One emotional deal he did was with another company named EventBeep in which he gave extra Rs. 10 Lakhs to purchase Rakhi’s secondary shares, and then Peyush and Aman too joined him in the deal.

Ashneer Grover’s words are precious and he always wants to win in real life. Married Madhuri Grover on 4 July 2006. They have a son, Avy and a daughter, Mannat. He started BharatPe with 5 staffs in 2018 and today the company has 450 staff Pan-India. Loves to travel a lot with the family, has traveled almost around 50 countries of the world. He is quite passionate about cars too, after a long hectic day, he likes to go on a drive in his sports car after 11 PM every night on the wide Delhi roads.
