R. Madhavan is a proud father once again as his son Vedaant Madhavan won a gold medal for men’s 800m freestyle swimming at the Danish Open 2022 in Copenheagen after winning silver at the same meet.
Vedaant, participated in three events in the ongoing meet and his personal best times underwent constant improvement from 11:48 to 8:17.28. He defeated Alexander L Bjorn at the last event by mere .10 to grab the gold. This medal is the second feather to his hat as he also bagged a silver medal in the 1500m freestyle swimming event. There his timing was 15:57.86.
R Madhavan posted a video from Vedaant’s swimming competition in Instagram and expressed his delight for the win through caption. He also thanked the coach in his post. Soon after the upload, his post received congratulations and appreciations from fans and eminent bollywood stars like Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut, Dia Mirza and Shilpa Shirodkar.
