31st March, every year is dedicated to the unique people across the globe for Transgenders. This mission was started in 2009 in the United States of America. The main objective to run this mission is to bring the awareness and issues of transgenders, and also a day specially dedicated to them to make them feel like the equal part of society.
The surveys has shown the below highlighted major problems faced by the Transgenders in India in their day-to-day lives –
Education
These people are not treated equally not allowed in regular schools. No proper education is been given to them till date.
No Proper Shelter
Transgenders do not get a basic upbringing, no proper homes to stay in, no proper food to eat, no proper clothes to wear. They have been struggling badly for their basic and daily necessities of life.
No Proper Health Care Services
Transgenders are also discriminated against under health care facilities too. Just being the one major reason that they are transgenders. Physical attacks, mental harassment, no proper care, guidance, etc.
Work Inequalities
When it comes to working, their legal identity is questioned. Discrimination against them on the grounds of education, qualifications, trust and various other factors prevents them to land a good job in India.
The above mentions are the basic, but major problems faced by them in daily life. For a common person, it couldn’t be thought of in their dreams. Today, let’s bow and show the respect, which they equally deserve for being a human and the creation of the Almighty itself.
